For an item arrived damaged on arrival, or with a production defect, the seller is forced to accept the return and it cut shorts the discussion. Again - this is a strategy I use ONLY when I am sure that the issue is real, but there is no way to show it on a pic. To be honest, I did that only once, for very good reasons, for a non-fragrance item.
